Directors Needed for 2026-27 Season!

Village Players of Fort Thomas is now accepting directing applications for our 2026-27 season! For nearly 60 years, Village Players has produced plays and musicals in the heart of Fort Thomas. Our theater is an intimate three-quarter thrust stage, immersing audiences in the magic of community theatre.

Please see below for a list of plays that are under consideration by Village Players for the 2026-2027 season.  Ideally our season would consist of a comedy for Fall, a family-friendly Holiday show, a drama or murder mystery for Winter, and a comedy for Spring. Please choose up to three plays from the list of selections.

We are introducing wildcard pitches this year, a director pitching a show not on our curated list, to tap into shows that inspire. You may pitch one wildcard in addition to three choices from the Village Players list with the following caveats:

1) A director pitching a wildcard understands that Village Players Board members reviewing/interviewing directors reserve the right to disregard the wildcard choice in favor of selections from the curated list of plays.

2) A director pitching a wildcard must include a pdf of the script with their director application.

3) A director pitching a wildcard must be able to answer questions at the interview about how their show would fit in our space.

To apply, please submit a directing resume and application which are available here.  Applications should be submitted to secretary@villageplayers.org by January 4, 2026.  Interviews will be held in person on the morning of Saturday January 10 and the evening of Monday January 12 (depending on availability) at the 8N Center for the Arts, at 8 N. Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, Kentucky 41075
