At first the Sycamores seem mad, but it’s not long before we realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy Kirbys. The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirbys, falls in love with Alice and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. You Can’t Take It With You is a madcap, idealistic comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy
Covid-19 Safety Protocols for Live Performances
Effective immediately, and in concordance with guidelines issued by the State of Kentucky, Village Players will require masking for patrons and crew regardless of vaccination or test-result status for all live performances until further notice. Concessions will be limited to bottled water, though patrons may bring covered, outside snacks (non-alcoholic) to enjoy outside of the performance space before the show and during intermission.
Masks must be worn correctly, covering both the mouth and nose, while inside the building and during the entirety of each performance. Village Players reserves the right to revoke admission to any performance at any point for lack of adherence to this policy. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, volunteers, and patrons.
