Lineillism Revealed: The Vertical Visions of Jim Hall
After shingles left him seeing the world in vertical lines, Kentucky-born artist Jim Hall (1932-2017) developed "lineillism," a unique painting style that reflected his vision.
This innovative technique, similar to pointillism, uses only vertical brush strokes to create luminous, detailed images. Requiring immense patience and dedication (sometimes over 500,000 strokes per painting), lineillism transformed Hall's visual disability into a powerful artistic legacy.
During this special, six-day exhibit, a rare collection of these original works will be on display. A limited number of these will be available for purchase.
