About Dave Klocke

Dave’s active, lifelong interest in art began as a 10-year-old boy, with art classes under Aileen McCarthy (a student of Duveneck). He continued training at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Northern Kentucky University, numerous artist workshops, and most recently, Thomas More University (Associate of Arts ’96). Dave painted as a hobby for many years, committing full time to a professional art career after retiring as a mechanical engineer from Procter and Gamble. He joined the Cincinnati Art Club in 1985 and was judged to signature status in 1988. Through the 1990s and early 2000s, Dave served in various club leadership roles, including president. He was granted honorary signature membership in 2013. He currently acts as club historian and continues to paint regularly. More information and examples of Dave’s work can be found at KlockeAndArt.
